Hello! I’m Siyuan Lu, a PhD student in Computer Science and Technology through a joint program between Zhejiang University, Westlake University, and Shanghai Innovation Institute. I am honored to be part of the institute’s second PhD cohort, working under the supervision of Prof. Tao LIN from Westlake University and Prof. Weinan Zhang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

I recently graduated from Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications with a Bachelor’s degree in Internet of Things Engineering through a joint program with Queen Mary University of London.

🔭 My long-term research goal: Based on a well-modeled world model of the physical world 🌍, build a self-evolving agent system 🤖 which can continuously receive multi-modal feedback 📄🎨🎥 (e.g., text, audio, images, video, 3D data) from the world 🌏 and adapt to its changing environment 🌟.

🌟 A Note About My Name

My full name in Chinese is 路(Lu)思远(Siyuan). Here’s the meaning behind it:

  • 路 (Lu): A “road” or “path,” symbolizing journey, exploration, and progress.
  • 思 (Si): “Thinking” or “reflection,” emphasizing critical thinking and creativity.
  • 远 (Yuan): “Long-term” or “vision,” signifying ambition and foresight.

Together, 路思远 reflects the philosophy of pursuing long-term goals with thoughtful planning and a forward-looking mindset—a principle I strive to embody in both my personal and professional life.
